The Brevity of Life

Life drifts like a brushstroke across time — delicate, fleeting, and full of unseen grace. We build, we seek, we dream, yet every breath reminds us how brief it all is. We are but vapour — here for a moment, known by the One who breathes life into us. A Vapour Called Life is a meditation on the sacred art of being — on finding stillness, meaning, and divine beauty in the quiet passing of our days.

A Vapour Called Life

By Director TJ

What is your life?
A vapour that rises,
then softly disappears —
a whisper between sunrise and dusk,
a flicker caught between breath and silence.

What is the essence of it all?
The endless chase,
the restless search for meaning —
the gathering of treasures
only to leave them behind.

Those with little are deemed unworthy;
those with much are never satisfied.
And yet, what good are our sunrise days
if we cannot rest beneath their glow?

How strange —
to journey without knowing the road,
to labour for crowns that turn to dust,
to seek forever in the fading now.

Perhaps life is not to be conquered,
but to be cherished —
a moment to behold,
a breath to remember,
a vapour that, though brief,
still catches the light before it fades.
